Best Time to Visit Lohachaur Forest in Jim Corbett National Park

The Lohachaur Forest in Jim Corbett National Park is a magnetic destination for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. To truly appreciate the beauty and biodiversity of Lohachaur, the ideal time to visit is from November to February. During these months, the weather is relatively cool and pleasant, making wildlife spotting a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The temperatures range from 5°C to 30°C. Winter mornings can be particularly magical as mist often envelops the forest, lending an ethereal feel to the landscape. Moreover, this season is excellent for birdwatchers as many migratory birds make Corbett their home during these months.

Wildlife safaris are a major highlight in Lohachaur Forest, and the safari zones usually open for tourists from mid-November after the monsoon season. It's important to note that the best wildlife sightings, especially of the Bengal tiger, are often reported during the hot summer months from March to June, when animals frequently visit water bodies to cool off. However, please consider that with temperatures soaring up to 40°C, summer visits can be extremely hot and might not be comfortable for everyone. Thus, your choice of when to visit may depend on whether you prioritize comfortable weather conditions or more active wildlife spotting opportunities.
