Best Time to Visit Manali Sanctuary, Manali

Manali Sanctuary is a spectacular natural reserve situated in the Himalayan town of Manali in Himachal Pradesh, India. This sanctuary is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers, featuring lush forests, sprawling meadows, and a rich variety of flora and fauna. The ideal time to visit Manali Sanctuary is between the months of October and June. During this period, the weather in Manali is pleasantly cool and conducive for exploring the outdoors. In October and November, you can experience the autumnal charm as the foliage turns into a myriad of colors. Wildlife sightings are frequent as animals are active before the onset of winter.

Once winter sets in by December, heavy snowfall transforms the sanctuary into a white paradise, attracting those interested in snow-related activities, though you should be prepared for cold temperatures. Starting from March, as the snow begins to melt, the region's natural beauty blossoms, with wildflowers dotting the landscape, making it particularly beautiful for trekkers and photographers. The months of April to June prelude the monsoon season with comfortable temperatures ranging between 10°C to 25°C, perfect for day hikes and wildlife watching. However, visitors should note that the sanctuary might be less accessible during the peak winter months due to heavy snowfall, and the monsoon months from July to September can bring landslides and hindrances due to heavy rain.
