Best Time To Visit Nallamala Forest (Kurnool) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Nallamala Forest, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh

The best time to visit the Nallamala Forest in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh is during the post-monsoon and winter seasons, which span from October to March. During these months, the forest's lush landscapes are in full bloom, the water bodies within the region are replenished, and the weather is pleasant for wildlife spotting and outdoor activities. The temperatures during this period range from 15°C to 30°C, creating ideal conditions for tourists to explore the dense forestry, embark on safaris, and observe the rich biodiversity without the inconvenience of the scorching heat that characterizes the summer season or the heavy rainfall of the monsoons.

The monsoon season, occuring from June to September, breathes life into the forest's ecosystem, but the heavy rains can lead to slippery trails and possible restrictions on movement within the forest due to the risk of flooding. Conversely, the summer months, from April to June, can be extremely hot with temperatures soaring above 40°C, which might not be comfortable for many travelers. Consequently, planning your visit during the cooler months not only ensures a comfortable expedition but also increases the likelihood of encountering the wildlife, as animals are more active and visible during milder climatic conditions.
