Best Time To Visit National Research Centre On Camel (Bikaner) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit National Research Centre on Camel, Bikaner

When planning a visit to the National Research Centre on Camel in Bikaner, Rajasthan, the most ideal time is during the cooler months of the year which are from October to March. During this period, the weather is pleasant and conducive for outdoor activities, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 27°C. Visitors can comfortably engage in excursions such as camel rides, witnessing the milking process, and exploring the camel museum without the discomfort of the intense heat that characterizes the summer months in Rajasthan. Moreover, these months coincide with the festive season in India, offering travelers the opportunity to participate in local celebrations such as the Camel Festival in Bikaner, which is organized in January. This festival showcases camel dances, camel races, and many other cultural performances, adding a memorable touch to your visit.

It is advisable to avoid the summer months, particularly April to June, when the temperature can soar up to 40°C or higher, making it extremely challenging to enjoy outdoor activities. The monsoon season, which runs from July to September, can also be less suitable for visiting due to the occasional heavy rains that may disrupt travel plans. However, if you prefer a less crowded period, the monsoon can offer a quieter experience, though certain activities might be limited. When planning your visit, also check the centre’s opening times and any special events they may be hosting, as this information can enhance your itinerary.
