Best Time To Visit Nehru Kund (Manali) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Nehru Kund

Nehru Kund, located in the breathtaking town of Manali in Himachal Pradesh, India, is known for its pristine natural spring that flows from the Brighu River. The ideal time to visit this tranquil spot is between May and October when the weather is pleasantly cool and conducive for sightseeing and outdoor activities. During these months, the temperatures range from a comfortable 10°C to 25°C, making it a perfect escape from the summer heat experienced in the plains. As Nehru Kund is situated on the way to the famous Rohtang Pass, the pass's accessibility during the summer and early autumn months also facilitates a combined trip, offering visitors an enthralling experience of both the spring and the breathtaking views of the pass.

However, to avoid the monsoon season, which typically spans from late July to mid-September, it is advisable to plan your visit either before or after this period. During the rains, the region can experience occasional landslides and road blocks, which can disrupt travel plans. Moreover, the months of June and July are particularly vibrant, with lush greenery enveloping the landscape, thanks to the melting snow, which makes it a photographer's paradise. As Manali is a popular tourist destination, it is recommended to make hotel bookings in advance to get the best deals and avoid last-minute unavailability in peak season.
