St. Philomena's Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of St. Joseph and St. Philomena, is located in Mysore (Mysuru), the cultural capital of Karnataka, India. It is one of the tallest churches in Asia and an exemplary illustration of Gothic architecture. The church's foundations were laid in 1933 and it was completed in 1941. The design of the cathedral was inspired by the Cologne Cathedral in Germany and features exquisite stained glass windows depicting scenes from the life of Christ, as well as statues of St. Philomena and other saints. The twin spires of the church soar to a height of 175 feet, dominating the city's skyline. Notably, the church also houses a relic of St. Philomena that was brought from Italy.
