Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park is situated in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, and was created in 2006 to restore the natural ecology of a large, rocky wasteland area adjoining the historic Mehrangarh Fort. The park covers 72 hectares of land and is home to ecologically restored desert and arid land vegetation. The aim was to restore the rocky terrain that was overrun by an invasive thorny shrub. With careful planting and nurturing, the native plants are now thriving. Various walking trails have been laid out throughout the park, guiding visitors through the rocky terrain, offering magnificent views of the fort and the city. The park is an excellent example of ecological restoration and conservation efforts in a desert ecosystem. It serves as a repository of desert flora and a haven for several native species of wildlife. The visitor center, housed in Singhoria Pol, provides information and interpretation about the desert ecology and the challenges of conserving it.
