Best Time to Visit Rollapadu Wildlife Sanctuary

Rollapadu Wildlife Sanctuary, situated in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, is known for its unique ecosystem and is a haven for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts. The best time to visit the sanctuary is during the cooler months of the year, which usually span from October to February. During this period, the weather is pleasantly cool and is conducive for bird watching and wildlife photography. The temperatures range from a comfortable 15°C to 30°C, providing a perfect environment to explore the sanctuary without the extremes of heat that can be experienced during other times of the year.

Moreover, this period aligns with the migratory season, when a variety of migratory birds visit the sanctuary, turning it into a bustling hub of avian activity. Visitors can expect to see an impressive array of birds including the flagship species, the Great Indian Bustard. Additionally, wildlife sightings are more frequent in the cooler weather as animals tend to roam around more freely. It's noteworthy that the sanctuary might be closed temporarily during the monsoon season due to poor weather conditions and potential flooding, so it is essential to plan your visit outside of the monsoon months for the best experience.
