The Turquoise Lake, also known as Khecheopalri Lake, is located in the Pelling district of Sikkim. It is situated at an altitude of 1,700 meters above sea level and is surrounded by dense forests and snow-capped mountains. The lake is considered sacred by both Buddhists and Hindus, adding to its cultural significance.

Getting There

To reach the Turquoise Lake, one can take a flight to Bagdogra Airport, which is the nearest airport to Sikkim. From the airport, one can hire a cab or take a shared taxi to reach Pelling. Pelling is a popular tourist destination and serves as a base for visiting the Turquoise Lake. From Pelling, it takes around 1 hour to reach the lake by road.
