Auli Ropeway, also known as Gondola, is situated in Auli, a ski destination in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. The Auli Ropeway is not just a mode of transportation but a popular tourist attraction that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi, Mana Parvat, and Kamet. The cable car operates between Joshimath and Auli, gliding over lush green meadows, misty slopes, and dense forests, giving riders an exhilarating experience. It serves as a boon for skiers visiting Auli in the winter season and is equally popular with trekkers and sightseers throughout the year. Visitors experience an astonishing rise in elevation, from 1,990 meters at Joshimath to over 3,010 meters at Auli. Constructed and operated by the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN), this ropeway has 10 towers and can carry up to 25 passengers in one trip.
