Mana Village, situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India, is renowned for being the last Indian village before the Mana Pass and is close to the religious site of Badrinath. Surrounded by the picturesque Himalayas, the village is located at an altitude of around 3,200 meters above sea level and is enveloped by hills with terraced fields. The place is steeped in mythological significance, believed to be the place where the Mahabharata was written by Ved Vyasa, in a cave known as Vyasa Gufa. The region is dotted with many other caves and waterfalls, with the mighty Saraswati River emerging from there. Apart from its mythological connections, Mana Village offers a glimpse into the cultural lifestyle of the indigenous Bhotiya people. Traditional huts, small tea shops and the tranquil environment make it a unique spot for tourists seeking serenity and cultural richness.
