The Pavagadh Fort is a fortress that stands atop the Pavagadh Hill in the Panchmahal district near Champaner, Gujarat, India. It was once the capital of the powerful Hindu kingdom of Champaner, before it was conquered by Sultan Mahmud Begada in 1484. Today, the fort and the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park are a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for their historical, cultural, and architectural significance. The fort complex comprises numerous ruins including fortifications, palaces, water installations, and other structures. The Kalika Mata Temple, situated at the summit of the hill, is one of the oldest temples in the area and attracts thousands of pilgrims every year. Visitors can reach the fort by foot or by cable car. The site represents a perfect blend of Hindu-Muslim architecture and is a testament to the rich history of the region. The ruins are surrounded by a dense forest that adds to the fort’s mystical allure.

Pavagadh fort is champaners king Mohammad begda built it in early 14 century .great place it was such a lovely fort..I love the atmosphere out there

Roads are very bad in side fort . Interested places are well mentained .lake of transportation.other sites are wonderful

You need the whole day to visit all the places around the PAVANgadh. Facilities are good and road are excellent and Guide Properly

Historical place
Pavagagh fort was good place for history lover. Very old but well maintained fort. Many tourist came here for visit. There was good environment and we have enjoyed our trip.

This fort was important fort of the Solanki kingdom. It was nice place for visit near Champaner. Good place for history lover.
