Sahar ki Masjid, also known as 'Masjid of the Shahar' or 'City Mosque,' is situated in the pre-Mughal city of Champaner, which is a part of the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park in Gujarat, India. It stands as a remarkable testament to the 15th-century Gujarati Islamic architecture. Constructed during the reign of Sultan Mahmud Begada, it is one of the seven mosques in the area. Its splendid architecture showcases a central dome, two minarets, intricately carved entrance gates, and the prayer hall, which is equally adorned with beautiful carvings. The mosque was built for the royal family and the nobles, and its positioning inside the royal enclosure signifies its importance. The masterfully crafted pillars add to the mosque's magnificence. From an elevated podium, one can appreciate the impressive facade and the courtyard fronting it. The Sahar ki Masjid is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004, a status that recognizes the cultural importance of Champaner and the surrounding Pavagadh hills.

Sadly these gems of Indian history lie neglected by both, tourist and the administration. You will only have BATS for company.
