Kevada Masjid is an ancient mosque situated within the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, near the historical city of Champaner in Gujarat, India. This mosque is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed in 2004, due to its historical and cultural significance. The mosque encapsulates the blend of Hindu and Islamic architectural styles, characteristic of the pre-Mughal era in Gujarat. It is notable for its intricate jali work (stone latticework), floral motifs, and geometric designs that adorn the walls and ceilings. Although partially in ruins, Kevada Masjid stands out for its imposing structure, creating a serene ambience amidst the surrounding verdant landscape. It features a central dome, two minars, a spacious prayer hall, and a large water tank that reflects the mosque's grandeur. This mosque, lesser known compared to the more celebrated Jama Masjid in the same vicinity, offers tranquility and an insight into the region's storied past. The surrounding archaeological park is replete with numerous other ancient structures, making it an ideal spot for history enthusiasts and archaeologists.
