We visited on the way to chandratal. It's a high mountain pass. There's kunzum Mata mandir, which is visited by all who pass by this high altitude pass. It's covered in snow. You can enjoy playing in the snow.

Truely Beautiful
It's was July 2019 when we crossed this pass enroute chandertal. We were the first group of bikers that season to cross this pass. The feeling was amazing. Beautiful landscapes on the way to pass. After the losar check post as soon you start riding on this pass the feeling is amazing, though the roads are bad but it's worth it.

Beautiful Pass with good view
The road to the pass from Manali side was unpaved and was the same till midway to Kaza, just before Kaza then the road was metallic. The pass usually closes in October and cuts of the road communication to Manali. It opens around June again. People who wants to visit Spiti between Oct-June should then take the route from Shimla side. A trek also goes from here till Chandrataal the 'Moonlake' which is beautiful.

The majestic gateway to the Spiti Valley
Located at a height of around 4600 meters above sea level, the Kunzum Pass is one of the highest motorable mountain passes of India. It serves as a gateway to the beautiful Spiti Valley. It lies on the eastern Kunzum Range of the Himalayas and is at a distance of 122 km from Manali. Kunzum La offers an incredible 360-degree view of the Bara-Shigri Glacier which is the second longest glacier in the world, a jaw-dropping vista of the Chandrabhaga Range and a spectacular view of the Spiti valley.
