Patwon ki Haveli Tourism

Patwon Ki Haveli is situated in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, and is one of the most impressive mansions in India. It stands as a testament to the rich cultural heritage and excellent craftsmanship of Jaisalmer's artisans of the 19th century. Built by Guman Chand Patwa, a wealthy merchant, and his sons, this intricate haveli is a complex of five individual units, making it the largest haveli in Jaisalmer. The haveli is renowned for its ornate architecture, exquisite mirror work, beautiful frescoes, and intricate balconies. Each part of the haveli has its unique aesthetic, with a mix of Rajput architecture and Islamic art, reflecting the fusion that typifies Jaisalmer's historical trade routes. The walls are adorned with fine paintings, and the yellow sandstone carvings speak volumes of the skilled artisans. It has been partially turned into a museum that showcases the lavish lifestyle of the merchants of the bygone era, and the rest of the complex is dotted with shops and residences.
