Nathmal ki Haveli, built in the 19th century, is an epitome of architectural marvel located in the heart of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. This haveli was constructed by two architect brothers, Hathi and Lulu, who are said to have started building different facets of the haveli simultaneously. The intricacy of the design and the symmetry despite their unique working conditions are a testament to their skills. The haveli's exteriors are adorned with extraordinary carvings depicting horses, elephants, and other flora and fauna which are incredibly detailed and showcase the fine craftsmanship of the era. Inside, the walls are embellished with splendid miniature paintings and exceptional interiors that reflect the grandiose lifestyle of the Rajput rulers. The facade of the haveli is a sight to behold, marked by strong pillars, large windows with intricate jali (lattice) work, and awe-inspiring balconies (jharokhas). It is characterized by yellow sandstone architecture, which shines beautifully under the sun, typical of most structures in Jaisalmer, the 'Golden City'.
