Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum is located in Pune, the cultural capital of Maharashtra, India. It is a three-story building on Bajirao Road that houses an impressive collection of Indian artifacts curated by Dr. Dinkar G. Kelkar. The museum began as a tribute to his son, Raja, and has since become a repository of nearly 20,000 objects signifying the grandeur of Indian heritage. The collection includes musical instruments, antique jewelry, traditional Indian lamps, war weapons, and a diverse range of household items from the 18th and 19th centuries. The museum showcases a fascinating blend of artifacts from the Mughal and Maratha periods. Each floor gives visitors a unique perspective on the lifestyle, art, and culture of Indians from various regions and eras. Amidst the collection, the centerpiece is the 'Mastani Mahal', reconstructed in the museum, which depicts an original 18th-century palace interior.
