Best Time to Visit SasBahu Temple, Gwalior

The SasBahu Temple, a stunning example of 11th-century architecture, is located in Gwalior, a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The best time to visit this historic site is during the cooler months of October to March. This period offers a pleasant climate with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 24°C, making it comfortable to explore the intricate carvings and detailed workmanship of these twin temples—dedicated to Lord Vishnu—without the scorching heat you can experience in the summer months. Additionally, the weather is conducive for attending the various cultural events and historical tours that are often scheduled during the tourist season.

Visitors should specifically consider planning their visit around the festival of Diwali, usually held in October or November, when Gwalior comes alive with celebrations and the temples are often adorned with decorations and lights. However, keep in mind that this time might be a bit crowded due to the festive rush. Those looking to avoid the crowds may prefer visiting in the earlier part of the tourist season, such as late October or November. During these months, the weather is not only comfortable but you also get the opportunity to witness the temples in their serene state, with fewer tourists around, allowing for a more tranquil experience.
