By Air: The most convenient way to enter Bhutan is by flying into Paro International Airport (PBH), which is the only international airport in the country. Major airlines that serve this airport include Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines. From Paro, Trashi Chho Dzong is approximately 1.5-2 hours’ drive away.
By Road: You can also enter Thimphu by road from India. The nearest Indian airport is Bagdogra Airport in West Bengal, and the nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) in Siliguri. From there, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to the border city of Phuentsholing, and further travel to Thimphu.
