Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve strategically positioned on the southern tip of the Deccan Plateau in Kerala, India. It is bordered by the protected areas of Nagarhole and Bandipur in Karnataka on the northeastern side and Mudumalai in Tamil Nadu on the southeastern side. Established in 1973, the sanctuary covers an area of approximately 344.44 sq. km, making it the second-largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala. It comprises four ranges: Sulthan Bathery, Muthanga, Kurichiat, and Tholpetty, each with its own unique beauty and biodiversity. The sanctuary hosts a rich array of flora and fauna, including endangered species like the Indian Bison, Elephant, Tiger, and Leopard. It's a haven for nature lovers, with its deep valleys, undulating hills, and indigenous tribes, fostering a unique cultural charm. The dense forest is a mosaic of the Western Ghats' significant vegetation types, ranging from moist deciduous to dry deciduous and semi-evergreen patches.

Great experience and seen onky elephants and deers no more animals was seen at muthanga wildlife and we are happy be there and the environment was fully emerald

Was Totally not worth it as saw no animals.
Will not recommend as its a waste of time and money as hardly saw any animals. Even the officials are not very helpful and dont guide about the jungle and cannot communicate in english as well
