Kuruva Island, also known as Kuruvadweep, is a serene river delta on the Kabini River in the Wayanad district of Kerala, India. It encompasses a cluster of islands spread over 950 acres of lush evergreen forest, offering a haven for nature enthusiasts and a habitat for rare birds, orchids, and herbs. The islands are noted for their dense and varied flora, with bamboo bridges and walking paths leading visitors through dense foliage. It's an ideal spot for picnics, nature walks, and bird watching. Kuruva Island is unique in that there are no permanent residents, preserving its pristine beauty. The delta is known for its quiet backwaters and the experience of bamboo rafting, which is a must-try activity here. The access to the island is controlled by the Forest Department of Kerala to ensure environmental protection. It's a place where one can truly disconnect from the digital world and immerse oneself in the tranquility and natural beauty. Eco-tourism is encouraged, but with minimal intrusion to maintain the delicate ecosystem's balance.

The place itself is very nice, giving less rating because of how tourist-unfriendly the entire process is
There are limited number of tickets per day. There is no online booking option. We left our hotel at 6 am, reached the Kuruvadweep ticket counter at around 7:15 am. Pls download offline map beforehand..
