Karapuzha Dam is an earthen dam situated in the Wayanad district of Kerala, India, built on the Karapuzha River, a tributary of the Kabini River. Constructed with the aim of supporting irrigation and providing potable water, the dam is a part of the Karapuzha Irrigation Project. Since its completion, it has become a popular tourist attraction in the region, offering breathtaking views of the water reservoir flanked by lush green hills. The scenic beauty of the surroundings makes it an ideal spot for photographers and nature lovers. Bird watchers also flock to the area to catch a glimpse of various species that thrive around the water body. In addition to enjoying the panoramic vistas, visitors can engage in leisure activities like boating, nature walks, and picnics in the vicinity of the dam.
