Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), formerly Victoria Terminus, is a historic railway station and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Designed by the British architect Frederick William Stevens in the late 19th century, this architectural marvel exemplifies the Victorian Gothic Revival style blended with themes deriving from Indian traditional architecture. The terminus was built in 1887 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria and has since been a landmark for the city of Mumbai. Its façade is adorned with intricate carvings, pointed arches, and a majestic central dome. Serving as a major railway hub, it is the headquarters of the Central Railways and is one of the busiest train stations in India.
