Best Time To Visit Ganga Aarti At Triveni Ghat (Rishikesh) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat, Rishikesh

The Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat is a spectacular spiritual event that draws visitors from around the globe. To experience this ceremony at its best, visiting during the evening is highly recommended. Specifically, the Aarti is performed daily, just after sunset. The timing varies slightly throughout the year, as it is dependent on the precise time of sunset. Hence, it's wise to check the local sunset timings for the day of your visit. However, for a more profound experience, many recommend visiting during the cooler months of October to March, when the weather is pleasant, and the attendance is high, but not as crowded as during the peak tourist season.

Apart from the time of the day, the festival seasons, such as the prominent Hindu festivals like Diwali, Shivaratri, and Navaratri, see a larger turnout and a more elaborate Aarti ceremony. The atmosphere during these festive times is electric, with increased cultural activities and spiritual fervor. However, if you wish to avoid larger crowds yet wish to have an authentic experience, visiting during the off-season like early autumn or late spring could be ideal. Regardless of when you choose to attend, the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat is an immersive spiritual experience, combining the powerful elements of fire, water, and the sacred chants, that can provide a deep sense of peace and divinity.
