Gohar Mahal is an architectural marvel situated on the banks of the Upper Lake in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was built in 1820 by the first woman ruler of Bhopal, Qudsia Begum, and named after her daughter Gohar Begum. This historical palace serves as a classic example of the amalgamation of Hindu and Mughal architectures, known as Indo-Islamic style. Historical place now used for commercial exhibitions
As its name indicates it is an ancient royal palace of a Muslim Queen. However, this is not being maintained well and is often used to house commercial exhibitions of handicraft products.

Interesting artisitc POS
Varied artwork are being on displayed at Gauhar Mahal. Being once being the queen's palace, the monument is now being used for a stage for handicraft and art works. Once a while visit is mandatory.
