Lower Lake Tourism

Lower Lake, also known as Chota Talaab, is situated in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is one of the two lakes that together form the Bhoj Wetland; the other being the Upper Lake or Bada Talaab. The Lower Lake was created in the year 1794 to beautify the city and for the purpose of irrigation. The lake has an earthen embankment on its eastern side and is separated from the Upper Lake by an overbridge. Known for its scenic beauty, the lake is surrounded by lush greenery and serves as a habitat for various species of birds and aquatic life. It is a popular spot for picnics, boating, and peaceful walks.
