The Lower Lake was created in the year 1794 to beautify the city and for the purpose of irrigation. The lake has an earthen embankment on its eastern side and is separated from the Upper Lake by an overbridge. Highly polluted
The lake is highly polluted with many sewers opening into it. The whole area sometimes stink. Badly managed it is best avoidable. The best option is to go for the Upper lake or bada talab
