Jag Mandir is a beautiful palace located on an island in Lake Pichola in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. It's renowned for its exquisite architecture and historical significance. Built in the 17th century, it was used as a summer resort and pleasure palace for the royal family of Udaipur. The palace gets its name from the temple dedicated to Lord Jagdish that it houses. The complex is made of marble and yellow sandstone, featuring impressive structures such as the Gul Mahal, an elegant pavilion which was once a refuge for Prince Khurram, known as Shah Jahan who later built the world-famous Taj Mahal. The entry to the palace is through the Bansi Ghat jetty, which provides a boat ride to the island giving a mesmerizing view of the City Palace and the scenic surroundings. The palace also has beautiful gardens, courtyards, and striking sculptures, making it a photographer's paradise.
