Lake Pichola Tourism

Lake Pichola is an artificial freshwater lake, situated in the heart of Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. Created in 1362 AD, it is named after the nearby Picholi village. The lake's serene waters stretch for 4 km in length and 3 km in width, surrounded by lofty hills, temples, bathing ghats, and embankments. Buildings of historical importance including the magnificent City Palace of Udaipur flank the lake, providing a picturesque backdrop that reflects beautifully on the lake surface. The lake houses islands with striking architecture, like the Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir, where tourists can enjoy boat rides to explore.
