Best Time to Visit Kalpeshwar Temple, Auli, Uttarakhand, India

Kalpeshwar Temple, nestled in the picturesque landscapes of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand, is a place of great spiritual significance and is one of the Panch Kedar temples. The best time to visit this sacred site is from May to October, just after winter when the snow starts melting, and before the onset of heavy monsoon. During these months, the weather is pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 30°C, ensuring a comfortable pilgrimage for devotees. The temple, however, remains accessible throughout the year, but heavy snow in winters and monsoon downpours might make the trek challenging and risky.

For those looking to experience not just the divine but also the natural splendor of Auli, the months of May and June are ideal, as the weather is mild and conducive to outdoor activities like trekking and sightseeing. By visiting during this period, one can enjoy the lush greenery and blooming flowers that bedeck the trek to Kalpeshwar. Nevertheless, it's important to note that the region is subject to unpredictable weather changes, so visitors should be well prepared with warm clothing and rain gear. Pilgrims seeking a tranquil visit can opt for the months of September and October when the tourist traffic is thinner, and the landscape is enveloped with the golden hues of autumn.
