Best Time To Visit Marine Drive Mumbai (Mumbai) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Marine Drive, Mumbai

Marine Drive, a picturesque promenade in South Mumbai, is best visited during the cooler months of November to February. During this period, the climate is pleasant with cooler temperatures, making it an ideal time for tourists to stroll along the 3.6 km long C-shaped boulevard. The temperature usually ranges from 15°C to 30°C, offering a respite from the otherwise humid climate of Mumbai. The monsoons, from June to October, are usually avoided by tourists due to heavy rainfalls which can disrupt outdoor activities and the overall experience of enjoying the sea-side ambience of Marine Drive.

Apart from the weather, one can consider visiting during the festivities. The Elephanta Festival, which usually takes place in February or March, is a showcase of classical dance and music right next to the sea and under the open sky, adding a magical touch to the experience at Marine Drive. Moreover, the entire stretch of Marine Drive is beautifully lit up during the Diwali festival, rendering the popularly named "Queen's Necklace" even more bewitching. Although the place is captivating throughout the year, visiting during these special events can truly enhance your Marine Drive experience.
