Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai, also known as Borivali National Park, offers a resplendent escape from the bustling city life throughout the year. However, the best time to visit this natural haven is during the period from October to March. The park experiences a tropical climate, and these months offer the most pleasant weather conditions suitable for wildlife spotting and enjoying the natural surroundings. The temperatures range from a comfortable 20°C to 35°C, ideal for the park's walking trails and outdoor activities like the mini-train ride, boating, and the lion and tiger safaris.
Monsoons, ranging from June to September, bring lush greenery to life in the park, but heavy rains can disrupt your plans with muddy trails and limited visibility for wildlife sightings. Nonetheless, if you're someone who enjoys the rain and doesn’t mind getting a bit wet, the park's beauty during the monsoons is a sight to behold. Summers are less ideal as from April to June, the heat and humidity in Mumbai soar, making outdoor activities less comfortable. Despite the less favorable conditions, the park remains open throughout the year, and mornings are recommended if you choose to visit during the hotter months.
