Best Time to Visit Calico Museum of Textiles

One of the most ideal times to visit the Calico Museum of Textiles in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is between the months of October and March. During this period, the weather is predominantly pleasant with minimal rainfall, as Ahmedabad experiences its winter season. The temperatures are cooler, typically ranging from 15°C to 35°C, which makes exploring the museum and its intricate exhibits more comfortable. The Calico Museum, being a repository of some of the finest examples of textiles and artifacts, is best enjoyed without the inconvenience of extreme heat that characterizes the city's summer months.

In addition to the weather considerations, it's important to note that the museum has specific visiting hours and guidelines that need to be followed. Visitors are required to book their visit in advance as the museum allows a limited number of guests per day. There are two tours daily from Saturday to Thursday, with the morning tour starting at 10:15 am focused on the textile collection, and the afternoon tour starting at 2:30 pm focusing on religious art and crafts. The museum remains closed on Fridays and public holidays, so planning ahead is crucial. To make the most out of your visit to the Calico Museum of Textiles, checking the local calendar for holidays and scheduling your visit accordingly is highly recommended.
