The Chaturbhuj Temple is a historic temple located in the Khajuraho group of monuments, in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, India. Constructed around the year 1100 CE, it stands proudly with its intricate sculptures and architecture that exhibit the finesse of ancient Indian craftsmanship. Unlike other Khajuraho temples which are usually dedicated to various forms of Shiva or Vishnu and Goddesses, this temple is dedicated to the four-armed form of Vishnu, which is where it derives its name, 'Chaturbhuj' (Four-Armed). The temple features a sanctum without a precursor ambulatory, a mandapa, and an entrance porch. The massive, intricately carved image of Vishnu in the sanctum is a powerful reminder of the religious significance of this site. The Chaturbhuj Temple is not as erotically embellished as some of the other temples in the area, but it is known for its sublime architecture. The temple also offers a panoramic view of the Khajuraho village from its rooftop, which can be accessed via a steep climb. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it represents a remarkable example of the medieval era’s temple architecture.

Not in western group
This temple doesn't belong to the famed western group of temples hence you need to drive down a bit to visit this stunning piece of architecture.
