Lakshmi Temple in Khajuraho is a small but exquisite temple dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the Hindu deity of wealth and prosperity. Situated in the western part of the Khajuraho village in Madhya Pradesh, India, it stands among the renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site complexes celebrated for their architectural brilliance and intricate sculptures. This temple, though not as grandiose as the others in the complex, exudes a sense of divine calmness. It features the elaborate carvings and stone work characteristic of Khajuraho’s temples, which date back to the medieval period, around 950-1050 AD, built by the Chandela dynasty. The architecture reflects the Nagara style, and the temple's relatively smaller platform is adorned with fewer but elegant carvings. It was part of the ancient city that was believed to have boasted over 85 temples, of which about 25 remain today.
