Best Time to Visit Gadisar Lake in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan

The ideal time to visit Gadisar Lake is during the cooler months of the year, from October to March. During this period, the weather in Jaisalmer is pleasant, with the temperature ranging between 10°C to 27°C. This makes it comfortable for tourists to explore and enjoy the serene beauty of the lake without the scorching heat of the desert. Winter mornings are especially magical at Gadisar Lake, as the calm waters often reflect the beautiful golden hues of the rising sun.

Apart from the agreeable weather, these months coincide with various cultural events and festivals in Rajasthan. The most notable among these is the Jaisalmer Desert Festival, usually held in February each year. It is a spectacle of Rajasthani folk dances, music and cultural shows set against the backdrop of the stunning golden city. Tourists planning to visit during this time should book accommodations in advance due to the increased demand. Remember to pack layers as the temperature can dip significantly after sunset.
