Hanuman Garhi is a famous temple situated at an altitude of 1950 meters in the beautiful hill station of Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the Hindu monkey god, this temple was built by Baba Neem Karoli, a famous local saint, in 1950. It offers a tranquil spiritual retreat as well as a splendid view of the setting sun. Visitors climb up to the temple via a flight of stairs, which are believed to be a test of the devotees’ dedication. The temple complex is adorned with beautiful paintings and sculptures depicting scenes from Hindu mythology.
