Best Time to Visit Lakkidi View Point, Wayanad

Visiting Lakkidi View Point in Wayanad, Kerala, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Western Ghats. The best time to visit this scenic wonder is during the post-monsoon and winter months, spanning from September to March. During this period, the weather is pleasantly cool, which provides a comfortable experience for visitors to enjoy the outdoors and the sweeping vistas. The lush greenery post-monsoon enhances the beauty of the viewpoints, as the rain washes the landscape and replenishes the flora. Moreover, the skies are usually clear, ensuring that visitors can take in uninterrupted views of the picturesque surroundings.

However, if you prefer solitude and fewer crowds, then the early mornings on weekdays are ideal for your visit to Lakkidi View Point. The morning mists enveloping the hills offer a surreal experience and are perfect for photography enthusiasts. Travelers looking to experience the vibrant local culture might consider visiting during the festival season, particularly around Onam, which is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Kerala. During this time, although it might be crowded, you get to witness the spectacular traditional festivities. On the other hand, it is advisable to avoid the monsoon season (June to August), as heavy rains can pose travel disruptions and lesser visibility at the viewpoint.
