It is nestled amidst seven snow-capped peaks and alongside a glacial lake, Hemkund. This place is of significant religious importance to Sikhs as it's associated with the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who is said to have meditated here. Surrounded by captivating natural beauty, the star-shaped gurudwara is accessed by a steep and challenging trek starting from the town of Ghangaria, after a trek from Govindghat on the route to the Valley of Flowers. The path to Hemkund Sahib takes you through lush greenery, dense forests, and mesmerizing views of the Himalayas. Despite the tough journey, thousands of pilgrims and nature enthusiasts trek this path each year, drawn by its tranquility and spiritual ambiance.
