Best Time to Visit Sajjangarh Palace (Monsoon Palace), Udaipur

The Sajjangarh Palace, popularly known as the Monsoon Palace, is a hilltop palatial residence in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. It offers panoramic views of the surrounding lakes, countryside, and the city of Udaipur. The best time to visit the Monsoon Palace is during the cooler months of October to March. During this period, the weather in Udaipur is pleasant, with reduced humidity levels and comfortable temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C. These conditions are ideal for exploring the palace and enjoying the stunning views without the discomfort of the intense heat and heavy monsoon rains that can occur during other times of the year.

Visitors should be aware that the palace is situated on a hill and may get chilly during the winter evenings, so carrying a light jacket is advisable. Additionally, the sunset views from Sajjangarh Palace are particularly spectacular. Planning your visit in the late afternoon can provide a dual experience of seeing the palace in daylight and witnessing the sun dip below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the surrounding landscape. However, it can get crowded around this time, so it is recommended to arrive a little early to find a good spot to enjoy the scenery.
