Best Time To Visit Snow View Point (Nainital) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Snow View Point, Nainital

The Snow View Point in Nainital, Uttarakhand, is one of the most enchanting tourist locations, famed for offering picturesque views of the snow-capped Himalayas. The most opportune time to visit this attraction is during the summer months from March to June. During this period, the weather is pleasantly cool, with temperatures ranging between 10°C and 25°C. This mild climate is perfect for enjoying the panoramic views of the mountains without the discomfort of extreme cold. Furthermore, the clear skies during these months greatly enhance visibility, allowing for uninterrupted views of the peaks, including Nanda Devi, Trisul, and Nanda Kot.

Alternatively, for those keen on experiencing a colder climate and the possibility of snowfall, the winter months from late November to January can also be considered. Although the temperatures drop significantly and can be quite harsh, usually falling below 0°C, the Snow View Point offers a different kind of winter beauty when the surrounding landscapes are blanketed with snow. It’s essential to be well-prepared with heavy woolens and appropriate winter gear during this time. Visitors should also check the accessibility of roads and points as heavy snowfall might lead to temporary closures.
