Pokhara is served by the Pokhara Airport (PKR), which is a regional airport. It is well connected with flights from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. There are no direct international flights to Pokhara. Hence, the primary route for international travelers is to fly into Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu and then take a domestic flight to Pokhara.
The primary way to reach Pokhara by road is by first reaching Kathmandu and then driving or taking a bus to Pokhara. The drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara offers a scenic view along the Prithvi Highway and takes approximately 6-7 hours.
Nepal does not have a well-developed railway system, and there are no direct trains to Pokhara. The nearest railway station is Jaynagar in India, which connects to Janakpur in Nepal. From Janakpur, travelers will have to take a bus or hire a vehicle to reach Pokhara.
