Aina Mahal, which translates to 'Palace of Mirrors', is an 18th-century palace in Bhuj, Kutch, Gujarat. It was constructed by Rao Lakhpatji in 1761 and showcases the grandeur of the bygone era. The masterpiece was architected by Ram Singh Malam, who designed it with a mesmerizing blend of Indian and European styles. Aina Mahal is part of a larger palace complex, which also houses the Prag Mahal. The palace's most notable features include the Hall of Mirrors, which is adorned with white marble walls covered with mirrors and gilded ornaments, and the high-quality Venetian glass. The earthquake of 2001 caused significant damage to Aina Mahal, but it has since been partially restored. Today, the palace houses a museum showcasing the royal history, art, and culture of Kutch. The museum's collection includes paintings, furniture, and the royal palanquin.
