The Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary, also known as the Wild Ass Wildlife Sanctuary, is located in the Little Rann of Kutch in the Gujarat state of India. Spanning across nearly 4954 sq km, it is one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in India. The sanctuary is a unique landscape made up of salt flats, rocky and thorny scrubland, and lakes and marshes. Along with the wild ass, the sanctuary supports a variety of wildlife, including the Indian wolf, desert fox, jackals, chinkara, blackbucks, and numerous bird species, especially during the migratory season.
