The Kutch Desert Wildlife Sanctuary, situated in the Great Rann of Kutch in Gujarat, India, spans an enormous area, encompassing one of the largest seasonal saline wetlands. It's a habitat to an array of avian species, especially flamingoes that breed here. The sanctuary comprises a heterogeneous ecosystem, including desert scrub, dry grasslands, rocky and thorny scrub, and wetlands. This diverse landscape offers shelter to a variety of wildlife and provides opportunities to spot Indian wild asses, desert foxes, jackals, and several cat species. Nevertheless, it remains most famous for its surreal salt marshes, particularly during the monsoon season when the Rann is submerged, creating a unique and fragile aquatic habitat. The region is also steeped in local and migratory birdlife, making it a paradise for bird watchers.

Must visit at once
In January me, my wife and friends first time visited white desert its was a very good place, its was amazingly when full moon in the sky at night. You can visit here from end of Oct to March.

Amazing place
Plan your visit during the Kutch Mahotsav held during December - January. The place comes alive with folk songs, markets and colours. A juvinile atmosphere engulfs the place.
