ISKCON Temple, also known as the Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir, is a famous Vaishnavite temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radharani. Located in the East of Kailash area of New Delhi, India, it is one of the largest temple complexes in the city. The temple was inaugurated by the former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in 1998. It is a part of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, founded by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. The temple architecture is a blend of traditional Vedic and modern design, and the shrine comprises beautiful deities of Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi, Sita Rama Laxman Hanuman, and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai. It is not just a place of worship but also a cultural hub where religious and spiritual activities take place, from sacred chanting (kirtan) to distribution of prasadam. The complex also includes a museum, a vedic center, and provides educational and cultural presentations on the heritage of India. The temple is an oasis of spiritual calm within the bustling city of Delhi.
