The Laxminarayan Temple, also known as the Birla Mandir, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. It is situated in the heart of Delhi, India, and was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi. The temple has a modern design with an enchanting exterior adorned with carvings depicting Hindu mythology. Built over a 7.5-acre plot, it consists of many shrines, fountains, and a large garden. The temple was built by the industrialist G.D. Birla in 1939, hence the name Birla Mandir. The main shrine is dedicated to Lord Narayan and Goddess Lakshmi, while smaller shrines honor other deities such as Lord Shiva, Krishna, and Buddha, symbolizing the temple's openness to all faiths. The temple's architecture features a blend of Orissan and Mughal styles and is constructed using red sandstone and white marble. It is not only a significant place of worship but also a tourist attraction in Delhi, drawing numerous visitors worldwide for its religious significance and architectural beauty.

Lovely place
It is not just beautiful to look at but thoughtfully planned providing good flow for pilgrims with multiple levels of separation using contour of the land.

Unusual
The color schemes and temple style is very different from other temples which I have seen in India, so it makes for a very interesting visit, although it is slightly far from any metro so it is quite ..

Love this place
Totally worth it ! Bulid decades ago but still looks new also the temple is very clean ! It has park and cafe behind which is so cheap and food is damn good my favourite my tea with samosa ! Recommend..

Hindu temple
Located is in central delhi well connect with Metro ( subway ) and other transportation like bus and cabs . Avoid going there on weekend it's too busy and crowdy .
