Swaminarayan Akshardham in Delhi, India, is a spiritual-cultural campus dedicated to showcasing Hindu spirituality, architecture, and devotion. Inaugurated in November 2005, the complex was constructed by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, a denomination of the Swaminarayan branch of Hinduism, under the vision of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. The central monument, crafted intricately with sandstone and marble, features a blend of Rajasthani, Gujarati, Oriya, and Mughal architectural styles. The monument stands at 141 feet high, 316 feet wide, and 356 feet long, with 234 ornately carved pillars, 9 domes, and more than 20,000 statues of various Hindu sages, devotees, and acharyas. The complex also includes the Yagnapurush Kund, a large stepwell with an intriguing musical fountain show, and a beautiful garden named Bharat Upvan. Additionally, visitors can explore the Hall of Values, which presents the teachings of Swaminarayan through robotics and dioramas, a giant screen film on the early life of Swaminarayan, and the Sahajanand Darshan exhibition.
