Best Time to Visit Tughlaqabad Fort Water Supply System, Delhi

Delhi's temperate climate with its distinct seasons means the best time to visit Tughlaqabad Fort Water Supply System is during the cooler months of the year. The fort, known for its historical significance and architectural wonders, is best explored when the weather is comfortable and conducive to outdoor activities. Therefore, the ideal months to plan your visit are from October to March. During this period, the temperature ranges from a pleasant 20°C to a moderately cool 5°C. This cool climate allows for a more enjoyable experience, as you can explore the ancient ruins and the water supply system without the discomfort of the intense heat that prevails in the summer months. Additionally, the clear skies and lower levels of pollution during this time provide better visibility and a cleaner atmosphere for photography and sightseeing.

Especially in the months of November and February, visitors can take advantage of the mild weather and the green landscape post-monsoon. The period after the monsoon season ensures that the fort's area is lush and more vibrant, enhancing the beauty of the heritage site. However, mornings can be foggy in early winter, which might impact visibility. As Tughlaqabad Fort is largely composed of ruins and open spaces, the lack of shade can make the summer heat particularly oppressive, and the monsoon season may hinder exploration due to heavy rainfall, making the structure slippery and possibly unsafe. It is also advisable to plan your excursion in the early morning or late afternoon to escape the midday sun, even during the cooler months, to ensure a pleasant visit to the Tughlaqabad Fort Water Supply System.
